Ingredients :

  • 2 cups warm reconstituted powdered milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup honey,or brown sugar
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 package yeast
  • 2½ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1¼ cups white flour

Directions :

  1. In mixing bowl,sift together flour,cornmeal,sugar,baking powder,and salt.
  2. Make a well in the center.
  3. Pour egg,milk,and butter into well.
  4. Mix into a greased 2-quart mold.
  5. Cover with a plate.
  6. Place on a trivet or rack in the bottom of slow cooker.
  7. Cover.Cook on High 2-3 hours.

    the corn bread recipe is missing the cornmeal in the list of ingredients.
