Baked breaded creamy chicken recipe. Breaded chicken pieces baked in an oven and served with delicious homemade Cream Sauce. You can serve baked creamy breaded chicken as is but I highly recommend to serve it with the creamy sauce.
Cream Sauce Recipe:
1 cup (250 ml)
Ingredients: 1/2 cup (250 ml) dry white wine, 1 yellow onion, peeled and chopped, 1 sprig each: fresh sage, marjoram, and thyme, 6 peppercorns, 3 scallions, sliced, 1 bay leaf, strip lemon rind, 2/3 cup (160 ml) sour cream, monosodium glutamate
Instructions: Wash the herbs under running cold water and pat dry with paper towel. Pour dry white wine in a small saucepan. Add sliced onion, washed herbs, peppercorns, scallions, bay leaf and lemon rind. Cover with a lid, bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer gently for 5 minutes.
Uncover saucepan, increase heat to medium-high, and boil until reduced by half. Strain sauce and return to the cleaned saucepan. Stir in the sour cream and a good shake of monosodium glutamate. Taste and more salt and black pepper if necessary.
Heat gently without boiling and serve with baked breaded creamy chicken. There is another way to prepare Cream Sauce (recipe adapted from https://www.rachaelraymag.com/)
Crean Sauce Recipe
1 cup (250 ml)
Ingredients: 3/4 cup (180 ml) heavy (double) cream, 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions: Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add heavy cream, butter, and salt. Stir well and bring to a simmer, stirring, until thick enough, for about 4 minutes. Stir in chopped fresh parsley. Turn off the heat. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted. Serve with baked breaded chicken.
Baked Breaded Creamy Chicken Recipe
- 8-10 chicken pieces
- dash monosodium glutamate
- freshly cracked pepper
- 2/3 cup (160 ml) sour cream
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups fine dry breadcrumbs
Rinse chicken pieces under running cold water. Pat dry with paper towels. Sprinkle with monosodium glutamate and cracked black pepper.
Arrange seasoned chicken pieces in a single layer in a shallow dish. Spread with sour cream. Cover and refrigerate for at leat 4-5 hours, turning once or twice and brushing the cream evenly over the pieces.
In a small mixing bowl, mix melted butter with the breadcrumbs. Dip the chicken pieces in the breadcrumbs, making sure they are well coated.
Preheat your oven to 375 F (180 C). Arrange seasoned chicken pieces in an ovenproof dish and cover with buttered aluminum foil.
Bake in preheated oven until cooked through and golden brown, for about 40-50 minutes, turning once during the cooking time. Serve breaded chicken with Cream sayce.
