Slow Cooker Shrimp Loisiana-Style

Ingredients :

  • 1 pound(480 g) shrimp,unpeeled,rinsed
  • 1/2 cup butter,diced
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1½ teaspoons grated lemon peel,plus additional for garnish
  • Hot cooked rice

Directions :

  1. Grease 4½-quart(4½L) slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place shrimp in bottom.
  3. Add butter,lemon juice,Worcestershire sauce,minced garlic,seafood seasoning,salt and pepper.
  4. Stir well,cover and cook on high-heat setting for 1¼ hours.
  5. Turn off slow cooker.
  6. Stir in 1½ teaspoons lemon peel.
  7. Set aside,uncovered,for 5minutes.
  8. Serve slow cooker shrimp Louisiana-style in shallow soup bowl over hot cooked rice.

    I never knew you could make seafood in a slow cooker. I definitely need to try one of the recipes and find out how the shrimp comes out. Would be awesome if it cooks to perfection without having to watch it.
