Bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer recipe. Shrimp wrapped in bacon and baked in the oven. Very delicious!!!


Use them as an appetizer or main dish. You may also like Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp:

Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp Recipe

Excellent on the barbecue; soak the skewers in water for 1 hour or more so that the will not burn during cooking.

Makes 16 appetizers or serves 4 as a first course

Ingredients: 16 raw shrimp, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) extra virgin olive oil, salt and freshly ground black pepper, 8 slices prosciutto, 16 skewers, soaked

Instructions: Peel shrimp but leave their tails intact. Place them in a small bowl. Pour on the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.

Cut each slice of prosciutto in half across. Wrap the prosciutto around each of the shrimp and thread onto the soaked bamboo skewers. Preheat the grill for 15 minutes.grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side over high heat, or until prosciutto gets well browned.

Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 24 shrimp.peeled and deveined
  • 12 strips bacon,cut into halves
  • 12 oz (360 ml) light beer
  • 1 bottle barbecue sauce

Method

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce and beer. Mix well and set aside.

Step 2

Pat dry shrimp with a paper towel. Wrap with the half slice of bacon per shrimp. Brush the shrimp with the BBQ sauce mixture.

Step 3

Preheat oven broiler to 425°F(220°C). Cook on the preheated broiler on the top shelf until golden brown. Serve bacon-wrapped shrimp hot.
