Baked Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (480 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 7 pieces thick-cut bacon, cut into 1/3
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 oz (30 ml) maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

Method

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400 F (200 C). Line a large baking pan with aluminum foil.

Step 2

Wrap each raw shrimp with a piece of bacon. Secure with a toothpick.

Step 3

Arrange bacon-wrapped shrimp on the prepared sheet.

Step 4

In a small mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Stir well and brush shrimp with half of the mixture.

Step 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Brush with the remaining butter mixture. Broil for a further 3 minutes.

Step 6

Remove baked shrimp from the oven and transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot.
