Best marinated shrimp appetizer recipe. A very easy, healthy, and delicious appetizer, an excellent choice for any party! I’d recommend using large prawns, but the ones I’m using here are in fact just large shrimp.

Best Marinated Shrimp Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (960 g) large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and cooked
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1/2 pound cherry tomatoes, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • chopped fresh basil

Method

Step 1

Place the shrimp in a large glass bowl. In a large mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Mix well, then pour spice mix over the shrimp. Toss the shrimp, so that they are thoroughly coated with spice mixture.

Step 2

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight, tossing them occasionally.

Step 3

Remove marinated shrimp from the refrigerator and transfer them to a serving bowl. Serve immediately.
