Broiled Haddock Fillets with Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (960 g) haddock fillets
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 ยฝ teaspoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method

Step 1

Preheat broiler. Brush with the olive oil broiler pan. Arrange fish fillets on an oiled broiler pan. Brush haddock fillets with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, then season with salt and black pepper. Dot with the soft butter.

Step 2

Place in the broiler and broil for 5-7 minutes. In a saucepan, combine remaining ingredients with remaining lemon juice and salt to taste. Heat, stirring gently to blend. Pour mixture over broiled haddock fillets.
