- 2 pounds (960 g) beef roast,cubed
- 2 cups (500 g) sliced carrots
- 2 cups (500 g) diced potatoes
- 1 medium yellow onion,peeled and sliced
- 1 cup (250g) sliced celery
- 2 teaspoons quick-cooking tapioca
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 8 oz (240 ml) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup (250 ml) water
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Combine beef and vegetables in slow cooker. Sprinkle with tapioca,salt and pepper.
Combine together tomato sauce and water. Mix well and pour over ingredients in slow cooker.
Sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover and cook on Low-heat setting for 8 hours.
