Mussels wrapped in bacon.Cooked mussels wrapped in bacon and baked in oven.Very easy and delicious appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 36 fresh mussels
  • 1 cup (250 ml) water
  • 18 slices bacon

Method

Step 1

Put mussels in a heavy kettle. Add the water and steam for 10 minutes. Using a sharp knife,remove mussels from the shells.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 400°F(204°C). In a large nonstick skillet,cook bacon until half done. Drain cooked bacon on paper toweling and cool.

Step 3

Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes. Drain mussels wrapped in bacon on paper towel.
