Oven baked Buffalo chicken wings.These chicken wings can be served at an elegant cocktail party.These wings are very delicious on their own but are fantastic when served with Blue Cheese sauce.
- 1/3 cup (80 g) all-purpose flour
- vegetable oil fro frying
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter,melted
- 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
- 1 pound (480 g0 chicken wings
Preheat Dutch oven to 350 F (180 C). Add v4 inches (10 cm) vegetable oil and heat over medium-high heat until heated through.
In a small mixing bowl,combine all-purpose flour,salt,black pepper and cayenne pepper. Mix well and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl,combine ketchup,butter,hot pepper sauce and chipotle powder. Mix well and set aside.
Dredge chicken wings in flour mixture,shaking off any excess. Working in a batches,fry wings in hot oil,until golden brown,for about 10 minutes.
Using a slotted spoon,remove fried chicken wings from oil. Pat dry with paper towel. Immediately add to hot sauce and toss well to coat. Serve hot.
