Oven roasted pears with goat cheese.This recipe belongs to Italian Cuisine.Pears with goat cheese,honey and pine nuts baked in the oven.Delicious appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm pears.cut lengthwise into halves,cored and deseeded
  • 3½ oz(100 g) goat cheese,crumbled
  • 3/4 oz(20 g) pine nuts
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons clear honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Method

Step 1

Heat the butter in nonstick skillet. Place pears,skin side down,and brown on low heat for about 10 minutes.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 350º F(180º C).

Step 3

Arrange cooked pears in a ovenproof dish and pour melted butter on top. Add 1/2 cup(125 ml) of water and bake pears for 10-15 minutes.

Step 4

In a small mixing bowl,combine crumbled cheese and pine nuts. Toss well,season with salt,to taste, and set aside.

Step 5

Remove baked pears from the oven. Divide cheese mixture among the pears. Spoon with honey,return to the oven and bake for additional 10 minutes.

Step 6

Serve roasted pears immediately.
