Pressure cooker beer-braised beef recipe. Corned beef with beer and vegetables cooked in pressure cooker. Beef is one of the most favored meals in pressure cooker. Cooking it with beer(I prefer Guinness beer) will make delicious and flavorful broth.

Pressure Cooker Beer-Braised Beef Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 oz (360 ml) bottle Guinness beer
- 2 cups (500 ml) water
- 2 large yellow onions, peeled and cut into wedges
- 3 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
- 3-4 pounds (about 2 kg) corned beef brisket with pickling spicerinsed
- 6 medium red potatoes, quartered
- 4 medium carrots, peeled
- 1 medium head white cabbage, cut into wedges
- Dijon mustard for serving

Method
Step 1
In a pressure cooker, combine beer, water, onions, garlic, and corned beef pickling spice (wrap the spices in a double thickness of cheesecloth, tie it shut). Mix well. Top beer mixture with corned beef. Bring liquid to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Close pressure cooker and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set timer to cook for 60 minutes.
Step 3
Open pressure cooker, using Natural release method. Allow standing for 15 minutes. Discard the spice bag. Transfer cooked beef brisked to serving platter. Using a slotted spoon, remove cooked onions and transfer to the serving bowl. Leave garlic in the pot. Cover meat and onions with aluminum foil and keep warm.
Step 4
Add potatoes and carrots to the pot. Top with cabbage wedges. Close pressure cooker and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set timer to cook for 8 minutes.
Step 5
Remove pot from the heat. Open pressure cooker, using Quick Release method. Allow standing opened for 15 minutes.
Step 6
Using a slotted spoon, remove cooked vegetables from pressure cooker. Transfer to the bowl with onions. Serve cooked beef-braised beef with vegetables. Spoon cooking liquid over all.
