Slow cooker banana nut bread recipe.An excellent dessert cooked in slow cooker.Use any dried fruit or nut that you want in this delicious bread.You can also bake banana nut bread in oven.

To bake it in oven you need to use the following ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 cup unsalted butter or margarine

2 cups granulated sugar

2 cups mashed ripe bananas

4 large eggs,beaten

1 cup chopped walnuts


Directions:

Preheat oven to 350ºF(175ºC). Grease and dust with flour two 9×5 -inch loaf pans.In a large mixing bowl,combine all-purpose flour,baking soda and salt.Stir well.

In another mixing bowl,combine butter and sugar.Beat until smooth.Stir in mashed bananas,eggs and walnuts.Mix until blended.

Pour banana mixture into combined dry ingredients.Mix just until blended.Divide batter between 2 loaf pans.

Bake in preheated oven for 1-1½ hours,or until toothpick inserted in the the center of bread comes out clean.Turn off your oven.Allow to cool loaves in the pan for at least 5 minutes,then transfer to the wire rack and cool completely.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons margarine or unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs,beaten
  • 1 cup (250 ml) mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 ¾ cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Method

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl,combine margarine (butter) and sugar. Beat until fluffy. Stir in mashed bananas and eggs.Mix just until blended.

Step 2

In another mixing bowl,combine flour and salt. Mix well. Stir dry mixture into banana mixture. Mix in chopped pecans.

Step 3

Pour batter into greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Place on rack in 6-quart (6L) slow cooker. Cover and cook on high-heat setting for 3 ½ hours or until toothpick inserted in the center of bread comes out clean.

Step 4

Turn off slow cooker. Cool on wire rack for at least 5 minute,then remove from slow cooker and cool completely.
