Slow Cooker Sausage Dip Recipe
An excellent dip for cooked sausages. Very easy to prepare.
Makes about 5 servings
Ingredients: 1/4 pound (120 g) bulk pork sausages, 4 oz (120 g) each: pasteurized process cheese product, cut into cubes and Mexican-flavored pasteurized process cheese product, cut into cubes, 1/4 cup (60 ml) refried beans, 1/4 cup (60 ml) condensed cream of mushroom soup, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) chopped yellow onions, tortilla chips
Instructions: Heat olive oil In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork sausages and brown, stirring to break up the meat, for 6-8 minutes. Remove from the heat and drain fat.
Stir in process cheeses, beans, mushroom soup, and chopped yellow onion to slow cooker. Cook, uncovered, on low-heat setting until cheese melts.
Grease slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Fill with warm dip. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Slow Cooker Bourbon Sausages Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) smoked sausages, chunked
- 12 oz (360 ml) bottle chili sauce
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) Bourbon
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons grated yellow onion
- 12 bacon slices
Method
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a medium nonstick skillet. Add chunked sausages and cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until browned. Remove cooked sausages from the skillet and transfer to a large plate. Add sliced bacon to the skillet and cook until crisp. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Step 2
Grease 3-quart (3 L) slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place chili sauce, Bourbon, brown sugar, and yellow onion in the slow cooker. Mix well. Add browned sausages and stir well to coat.
Step 3
Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 3 hours.
Step 4
Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Remove cooked sausages from the cooker and transfer to a serving plate. Wrap with cooked bacon, then secure with toothpicks. Serve hot.
