Slow cooker cranberry chicken. Chicken pieces with whole berry cranberry and barbecue sauces cooked in slow cooker. Very delicious! You may also like Chicken-Ginger Soup, another tasty chicken recipe cooked in a crock pot (slow cooker)

Slow Cooker Cranberry Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds (1.9 kg) skinless chicken pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup (125 g) diced celery
  • 1/2 cup (125 g) diced onions
  • 16 oz (480 ml) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup (250 ml) barbecue sauce

Method

Step 1

In a large nonstick skillet, brown chicken over medium-high heat. Place chicken pieces in 3½-4-quart(3½-4 l) slow cooker.

Step 2

In a small mixing bowl, combine cranberry and barbecue sauces, diced onions, celery, and seasoning. Stir well and pour mixture over chicken.

Step 3

Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 5-6 hours. Serve slow cooker cranberry chicken over cooked couscous.
