Slow cooker turkey ragout. This turkey ragout is a recipe that will please anyone you serve it to. The rich flavor of the turkey, the easy preparation, and the beautiful colors make this dish special.

What other ingredients can I add to a slow cooker turkey ragout?

It’s the time of the year again when you are busy trying to make more time for yourself by cooking an elaborate dinner on a weeknight. You are standing in front of the stove, stirring the pot with one hand and holding a baby with another. You feel overwhelmed because you are trying to cook your dinner while also preparing for Christmas shopping.

Luckily, there’s some relief coming to you in the form of a slow-cooker turkey ragout! It is a hands-off recipe that takes very little time to prepare and clean up afterward. All you need is a few spices that can be bought locally or at any store such as ground cumin, turmeric powder, chili powder (optional), hot sauce (optional), salt, and pepper.

What vegetables can I add to a turkey ragout?

A slow-cooker turkey ragout is a staple for winter cooking. You can make it with vegetables such as onion, garlic, celery, carrots, and parsnips. Some canned tomatoes and tomato sauce will also be needed.

There are many different vegetables you could add to this dish. Some examples include bell peppers, mushrooms, winter squash or pumpkin, broccoli, cauliflower florets, and whole potatoes.

Is it possible to make turkey ragout without a slow cooker?

There are a few ways to make turkey ragout without a slow cooker. One way is to take the meat out of the slow cooker and place it in a Pyrex dish, then put it in an oven at 350 degrees for an hour. This will take some time but the result will be worth it.

Another option is to take the ingredients out of the slow cooker, pour them into your Pyrex pan, then put that into an oven set to 350 degrees.

The last option is to just use all your ingredients and put them in a pot on top of the stove on medium-high heat until they start boiling and then you can reduce that heat so they won’t burn or stick.
