Chicken with the lemon-garlic combination is one of my favorite chicken recipes. You can also cook lemon garlic chicken breasts, or bake lemon-garlic chicken thighs in an oven.

How To Cook Crock Pot Lemon Garlic Chicken

Ingredients: 4 lemons, 2-3 garlic cloves, 1 whole chicken, all-purpose steak seasoning use (salt and freshly ground black pepper as an alternative)

First, slice fresh lemon and garlic, then place them in the bottom of the pot. Top with fresh herbs, such as rosemary or thyme (use any fresh herbs). Rinse the whole chicken under cold running water and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub inside and outside of chicken with all-purpose steak seasoning, then fill the chicken cavity with a quartered lemon, more fresh herbs, and a garlic halves. Top with more lemon slices and fresh herbs.

Place the seasoned chicken in the slow cooker. Cover the pot and cook on high-heat setting for 4 hours.

Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Let cooked chicken rest before curving, then transfer to a cutting board and curve it. Divide into four serving plates. Strain juices from the pot and pour over chicken. Serve hot.

Crock Pot Lemon Garlic Chicken Recipe


  • 4 lemons, halved
  • 2-3 garlic heads, peeled and halved
  • 1 whole chicken
  • fresh rosemary, thyme or any fresh herbs
  • all-purpose seak seasoning or salt and black pepper


Step 1

Place lemon and garlic halves on the bottom of the slow cooker. Top with fresh rosemary sprigs.

Step 2

Rinse the chicken and pat dry with paper towels. Season inside and outside with all-pupose steak seasoning. Place seasoned chicken on top of garlic-lemon slices. Place some lemon slices and hebs on top of the chicken.

Step 3

Cover the slow cooker and cook on high heat setting for 4 hours.

Step 4

Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Let chicken rest for about 15 minutes, then transfer it to a cutiing board and curve.

Step 5

Pout over any cooked juices. Serve hot.
