Slow Cooker Peach-Glazed Pork Roast Recipe

Sweet and spicy pork shoulder roast cooked in 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker.

Makes 8 servings

Ingredients: 1 can (14 oz (420 ml) nonfat chicken broth, 1 jar 18 oz (540 ml) peach preserves, 3/4 cup (180 ml) frozen chopped onions, thawed and drained,2 tablespoons (30 ml) Dijon mustard,4 pounds (1.960 g) boneless pork loin roast

Instructions: Lightly grease inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Combine chicken broth, peach preserves, onions, and Dijon mustard in the greased slow cooker. Mix well, then add pork loin roast and turn to coat.


Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 8-9 hours or high heat for 4-4 1/2 hours.

Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Using tongs, remove cooked pork from the pot and transfer to cutting board. Slice meat and transfer to serving plates. Serve over mashed potatoes or cooked rice.

Slow Cooker Pork Roast with Pineapple Sauce

Another easy and delicious pork roast recipe cooked in the slow cooker.

Makes 8 servings

Ingredients: 4 pounds (1.960 g) boneless pork loin roast, 1 large yellow onion, peeled and thinly sliced, 3 tablespoons (45 ml) white wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) ketchup, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Worcestershire sauce,1/4 cup (60 ml) brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) ground ginger, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) crushed garlic, 1 cup (250 ml) frozen chopped green bell peppers, thawed and drained, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) freshly ground black pepper, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) cornstarch, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cold water,1 can (8 oz (240 ml) crushed pineapples, undrained

Instructions: Lightly grease large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray, then heat over medium heat. Add pork roast and cook, turning once for 3-5 minutes per side. Remove cooked meat from the skillet and set aside.

Lightly grease inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place sliced yellow onion in bottom of the greased pot. Top with cooked pork.

In a mixing bowl, combine vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, bell pepper, and black pepper. Mix well. Spoon vinegar mixture over pot roast and onions.

In a small mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Mix until smooth, then pour over top and mix well.

Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet onions, peeled and sliced
  • 6 pounds (3 kg) boneless pork shoulder roast
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon minced yellow onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups (500 ml) chicken broth

Method

Step 1

Lightly grease 6-quart (6 l) slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place onions on the bottom of the greased slow cooker.

Step 2

Rub pork shoulder roast with seasoning blend and salt. Place seasoned meat on top of onions, then pour in chicken broth.

Step 3

Cover slow cooker and cook on low-heat setting for 6-7 hours or until meat is cooked through.

Step 4

Remove cooked p[ork from slow cooker and transfer to a cutting board. Using two forks, shred the meat.
