Fried shrimp with blue cheese sauce. This excellent meal served with blue cheese sauce has an incredible taste. Very delicious and easy to make! Use it as a main dish or appetizer.
Fried Shrimp with Blue Cheese Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 g) low-fat sour creme
- 1/2 cup (125 g) low-fat mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) low-fat milk
- 4 oz (120 g) crumbled blue cheese
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup (60 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1Β½ pounds (720 g) tiger shrimp, shelled, deveined, and tails intact
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine sour crème, mayonnaise, milk, blue cheese, lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Mix well, cover and refrigerate.
Step 2
In a shallow bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cayenne pepper and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir well, then add shrimp. Toss well to coat.
Step 3
In a large nonstick skillet, heat olive oil, butter, and hot sauce.
Step 4
Add shrimp and cook, stirring, until lightly browned, for about 3-4 minutes.
Step 5
Sprinkle chopped parsley over blue cheese sauce and serve with fried shrimp.
