Instant pot applesauce recipe. Quick and easy applesauce cooked in a pressure cooker (instant pot). Very delicious dessert! Use tart cooking apples for applesauce, such as Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Rome Beauty, or McIntosh.

Instant Pot Applesauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 2Β½ pounds (1.44 kg) Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and chunked
- 2Β½ pounds (1.44 kg) red apples, peeled, cored, and chunked
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) water
- 2tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter, cut into pieces
Method
Step 1
In a pressure cooker, combine chunked apples, ground cinnamon, and water. Stir well.
Step 2
Close and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 4 minutes.
Step 3
Using the natural Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully unlock and open the lid. Allow to stand for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Using an immersion blender, blend apples until you achieve the desired consistency. Stir in lemon juice and chunked butter until the butter melts.
