Lemon and rosemary granita.Very delicious nonalcoholic mixed drink.Easy to make!
- 3 cups (750 ml) fresh water
- 1/2 cup (125 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3-4 rosemary sprigs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
In a pan, combine water and granulated sugar. Stir and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low,add rosemary sprigs and simmer, stirring, for 3-5 minutes. Strain rosemary mixture and add lemon juice and salt. Stir well.
Transfer mixture to a glass tray. Set aside and allow to cool completely. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Remove from refrigerator and, using a fork, scrape any ice crystals that have formed. Repeat this process 3-4 times. To make it light and fluffy, scrape just before it has completely set.
