Oven Baked Glazed Spareribs

- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 pounds (1.9 kg) pork spareribs
- 1 cup (250 ml) barbecue sauce
In a small mixing bowl,combine brown sugar,oregano,chili powder,mustard, cumin and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
Place pork spareribs in a large flat dish. Rub seasoning mixture into both sides of pork ribs. Cover and put in refrigerator for 4-24 hours.
Arrange ribs on a grilling rack over broiler pan. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
Roast spareribs in oven until meat is tender when pierced with tip of sharp knife (about 1½-2 hours). Brush with barbecue sauce during last 45 minutes. Cut oven baked glazed spareribs into serving size pieces. Serve hot.
