Oven Baked Ham and Potato Cake

- 1 ½ pounds (720 g) medium-sized potatoes
- 8 oz (240 g) sliced cooked ham,chopped
- 6 oz (180 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 oz (90 g) unsalted butter,melted
- 3 tablespoons fresh breadcrumbs
- 5 oz (150 ml) milk
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Cook potatoes in boiling salted water fro 20 minutes. Set aside.
Grease 7-inches (18 cm) sprinform tin with a little of butter and sprinkle breadcrumbs over the bottom and sides,shaking off any excess. Heat oven to 350 F (180 C).
Drain and peel cooked potatoes,then cut into slices. Arrange a few of the slices,lightly overlapping,in the bottom of greased tin. brush potatoes with melted butter.
Scatter some of the ham,then some of grated cheese over. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Continue layering,reserving a little of melted butter. Finish with a layer of potato topped with grated cheese. Pour the milk over and brush with remaining melted butter.
Bake in preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese has melted.
