Oven baked onion cheese pizza recipe. Pizza with onion and Swiss cheese baked in an oven. Very tasty homemade pizza recipe! You can prepare vegetarian pizza in a pressure cooker!
Pizza cooked in pressure cooker turns extremely delicious (this recipe adapted from http://evergreenrecipes.com/) to make it, you need to use the following ingredients for simple pizza base:
1Β½ cups all-purpose flour, 1Β½ teaspoons yeast, 3 tablespoons lukewarm water, 1 teaspoon granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt
Ingredients for toppings:3 tablespoons pizza sauce, 1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese, 1 tomato, sliced into 6-8 slices,
1 yellow onion, peeled and sliced, 1/2 cup (125 ml) paneer,Β 1/4 teaspoon each: fresh thyme and oregano leaves, 1/8 teaspoon red chili flakes, 2/3 oz (20 g) unsalted butter, cubed
Pressure Cooker Vegetable Pizza Recipe
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir well and set aside for 15-20 minutes or until foam appears.
In another mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, vegetable oil, salt and yeast mixture. Add water (a little at the time) and knead to make a dough. Place dough in the dip bowl, wrap with a plastic wrap and keep it in a warm place until dough begins to get double in the size.
Knead the raised dough for a further 1 minute and divide into 2 equal portions. Place 1 portion of dough on the floured board, sprinkle with flour and, using a rolling pin, roll it. Cut the large piece of aluminum foil. Transfer rolled dough on the prepared aluminum foil and cover with plastic wrap. Set aside for 15-20 minutes. Let the dough rise again.
Spread a pizza sauce into a raised dough and sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated Mozzarella cheese. Top with paneer cubes and sliced onions. Then put tomato slices, and remaining 1/2 cup grated cheese. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and red pepper flakes. Top with cubed butter.
Preheat the pressure cooker on high-heat setting. Install a bottom cooking rack in the pressure cooker. Place pizza along with aluminum foil in the rack. Cover pressure cooker and cook on high heat setting for 4-5 minutes, then reduce heat as low as possible and cook for a further 20 minutes.
Turn heat off. Open the pressure cooker, using a quick Release Method. Carefully remove cooked vegetarian pizza from the pressure cooker and transfer to a cutting board. Allow cooking for 5 minutes. Slice it and serve.
Oven Baked Onion Cheese Pizza Recipe
Ingredients
- 5 cups thinly sliced yellow onions
- 1 package refrigerated ready-to-bake pizza-crust dough
- 7 Β½ oz (225 g) reduced-fat Swiss cheese, shredded

Step 1
Preheat an oven to 425 F (210 C).
Step 2
Spray a 10-inch nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray and heat. Add onions and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until translucent, about 2 min. Cover and let cook until softened, about 5 min. Set aside.
Step 3
Spread pizza crust dough over the bottom of a 13Γ9Γ2-inch baking pan. Spread onions over dough and top with cheese. Bake until dough is golden and cheese is melted, about 15 min.
Step 4
Transfer pan to the wire rack and let cool. Cut dough in half into 10 equal strips.
