Pressure Cooker Honey Ginger Pork Ribs
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 pounds (1.44 kg) pork ribs
- 4 large garlic cloves,peeled
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 rosemary sprig
- 12 oz (360 ml) bottle ginger beer
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Method
Step 1
Melt the butter in a pressure cooker turned to the sauté mode. Working in batches, add pork ribs and brown on all sides, turning occasionally.
Step 2
Using tongs, transfer cooked pork ribs to a large bowl.
Step 3
Stir in garlic cloves, honey, and rosemary. Cook, stirring, until fragrant, for a further 10 seconds.
Step 4
Pour in the beer. Stir well, scraping any browned bits off the bottom of the pressure cooker. Stir in seasoning. Add pork ribs to the honey-beer mixture.
Step 5
Close the pressure cooker and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 25 minutes.
Step 6
Open pressure cooker, using a Quick Release method. Discard rosemary sprig and garlic.
Step 7
Using tongs, transfer pork ribs to a serving platter. Pour honey beer sauce over. Serve immediately.
