Please note, that this recipe is for a stovetop pressure cooker. To make it in an electric instant pot. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 20 minutes.
Pressure Cooker Italian Sausages
Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) Italian sausages, links separated and patted dry
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
Method
Step 1
Heat canola oil in the pressure cooker turned to sauté mode.
Step 2
Add sausages and cook, turning with tongs every minute, until browned on all sides. Add any other ingredients into the pressure cooker that desire to cook with the Italian sausages.
Step 3
Close the pressure cooker and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high. Set the timer to cook for 18 minutes.
Step 4
Using the Quick Release method, bring pressure to normal. Carefully open the pressure cooker. Insert a meat thermometer into the center of each sausage, making sure it has achieved an internal temperature of at least 165 F (80C).
