Seared pork chops with mushroom gravy. This is a very easy and delicious pork chops recipe served with homemade mushroom sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds (960 g) boneless pork chops,trimmed
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 10 oz (300 g) fresh mushrooms,rinsed and sliced
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) dry white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 1 can mushroom soup
- fresh parsley,chopped
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
Step 1
In a large nonstick skillet,heat extra virgin olive oil over medium-high heat. Season pork chops with salt and black pepper. Add seasoned pork chops to hot skillet and sear for about 5 minutes on each side. Remove seared pork chops from the skillet. Transfer to a plate and hold in warm oven.
Step 2
Reduce heat to medium,then add sliced mushrooms and saute until soft (fro about 5 minutes.) Stir in dry white wine and thyme and bring to a boil. Once boiling, allow wine to reduce by half.
Step 3
Stir in mushroom soup and seared pork chops. Cook until chops are cooked through.
Step 4
Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
