Slow cooker maple meatballs recipe. Apple cider maple meatballs cooked in a slow cooker. Easy and delicious. Use 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker. This recipe contains apple cider vinegar, apple cider, and maple syrup. Also, use prepared frozen meatballs (beef and pork combined, only pork or beef).

How To Make Meatballs :

makes about 28 meatballs

Ingredients: 1/2 cup (125 ml) fine dry breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk, 1 large egg, beaten, 1/2 cup (125 ml) grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh parsley, 2 teaspoons (10 ml) kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, to taste, 1 pound (480 g) ground meat (pork, beef, lamb, veal, chicken or even turkey as well), 1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped yellow onion, 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced

Instructions: In a small mixing bowl, combine the milk and breadcrumbs. Stir well and set the breadcrumb mixture aside. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the beaten egg well. Add Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley, then season with salt and black pepper. Mix well.

Stir ground meat into the egg mixture. Using your hands, mix thoroughly egg mixture into the ground meat. Add the onions, garlic, and soaked breadcrumbs. using your fingers, mix them thoroughly into the meat. Transfer meatballs to a large plate. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 days.

Slow Cooker Maple Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients

  • 50 frozen meatballs
  • 2 cups (500 ml) apple cider
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Method

Step 1

Grease the 6-quart (6 L0 slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place frozen meatballs into the greased pot.

Step 2

In a medium mixing bowl, combine apple cider, maple syrup, and apple cider vinegar. Stir well, then pour the mixture over the meatballs.

Step 3

Cover the cooker and cook on a low-heat setting for 6-8 hours or until meatballs are cooked through. Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Transfer cooked meatballs to a serving platter, and pour cooking liquid over. Serve hot.
