Instant Pot Parmesan-Honey Pork Roast Recipe
makes 6 servings
Ingredients: 1½ pounds (720 g) boneless pork roast, 1/3 cup (80 ml) low-sodium soy sauce, 1/3 cup (80 ml) water, 1/4 cup(60 ml) clear honey, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) minced ginger, 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil, 2 teaspoons (10 ml) cornstarch, grated Parmesan cheese
How to Prepare Parmesan-Honey Pork Roast
In an electric instant pot, combine soy sauce, water, honey, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Stir well. Add pork roast. Close the pot and lock the lid. Set the machine to cook at high pressure. Set the timer to cook for 7 minutes.
Open the pressure cooker, using the Natural Release Method. Unlock and open the lid, then allow the pressure to release naturally, for a further 7 minutes. Using tongs, remove cooked meat from the pot and transfer to serving plates.
Turn the instant pot to saute mode. In a small mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch and water. Mix until cornstarch has been dissolved. Pour cornstarch mixture into the instant pot, then add grated cheese. Stir the mixture well. Saute, uncovered, until the sauce thickened, for about 2 minutes.

Slow Cooker Parmesan-Honey Pork Roast Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 pounds (1.44 kg) boneless pork roast
- 2/3 cup (160 ml) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Method
Step 1
Place boneless pork roast in 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker.
Step 2
In a medium mixing bowl, combine grated cheese, honey, soy sauce, basil, oregano, garlic, oil, and salt. Mix well and pour the honey mixture over pork.
Step 3
Close the pot and cook on low-heat setting for 5-6 hours or until meat is tender.
Step 4
Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Remove cooked meat from the pot, reserving cooking liquid. Transfer pork to the serving plate.
Step 5
Pour reserved liquid into a medium saucepan. In a small mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and chicken broth. Stir until cornstarch dissolved completely. Pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan and stir well.
Step 6
Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened. Stir in the sugar, if you prefer sweet sauce. Pour over cooked pork roast. Serve hot.
