Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Gravy Recipe

makes 4 servings

Ingredients: 1 pound (480 g) bone-in pork chops, 1 envelope Ranch Dressing Mix, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml)freshly ground black pepper, 1 envelope Brown Gravy Mix, 10½ oz (45 ml) can Cream of Chicken Soup, 1½ cups (375 ml) chicken broth, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) cornstarch, 1 oz (30 ml) water

Instructions: Place pork chops in a large bowl. Season both sides of meat with ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and pepper. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine brown gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, and beef broth. Whisk well. Add seasoned pork chops to a 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker. Pour chicken broth mixture over the meat.

Close the pot and cook in a low-heat setting for 6-7 hours or until pork is tender.

Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Using tongs, remove cooked pork from the slow cooker and transfer it to a serving plate.

In a small mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch and water. Whisk well and stir the mixture into the crockpot to thicken the gravy. Pour the gravy over cooked chops. Serve over mashed potatoes or cooked rice. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless pork chops
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) peach preserves, no sugar added
  • 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method

Step 1

In a large nonstick skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally until it starts to bubble. season with salt and remove from the heat. Stir in the peach preserves and stir until smooth.

Step 2

Place porkin 6-quart (6 l) slow cooker. Pour the sauce over.

Step 3

Cover thepot and cook on low-heat setting for 6-7 hours or until por chops are tender.

Step 4

Turn off the crockpot and open the lid. Stir pork mixture well before serving. Transfer to serving plates. Serve hot.
