What is Louisiana-Style Shrimp?
Louisiana-style shrimp is a type of dish that is created by slow-cooking fresh shrimp with salt, pepper, onion, and garlic.
Louisiana-style shrimp can be cooked in a variety of ways. Some people like to cook shrimp in the oven, while others prefer to cook them on the stovetop or in a slow cooker. In Louisiana, people typically use a slow cooker because it requires little supervision and allows the dish to simmer for hours without drying out the shrimp.
The ingredients found in Louisiana-style shrimp are similar to those of other dishes that are traditionally cooked with the same cooking method. For example, Cajun seasoning is typically used when cooking this type of dish because it adds flavor and spice to the dish.
