Slow Cooker Spicy Sausage-Bean Casserole Recipe


  • 1 pound (480 g) smoked turkey sausage, cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces
  • 16 oz (480 ml) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 16 oz (480 ml) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 16 oz (480 ml) can Northern beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1½ cups (375 ml) frozen corn, thawed
  • 1½ cups (375 ml) salsa
  • 1 large green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 large yellow onion, peeled and chopped
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • shredded Cheddar cheese


Step 1

In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients, except Cheddar cheese. Mix well.

Step 2

Cover the cooker and cook on a low-heat setting for 5-6 hours or until vegetables and beans are tender and sausages are cooked through.
