The Best Garlic Soup Mix Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 cups (1 L) chicken broth
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) dry white wine
- 12 garlic cloves, peeled
- 2 yellow onions, peeled and quartered
- 1 rib celery, quartered
- water
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) dry sherry
Method
Step 1
In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients, except the water and dry sherry. Mix well, then bring to a boil, uncovered, over high heat.
Step 2
Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pan, and simmer for 2 hours. Check the pan occasionally, adding water to the soup, if needed.
Step 3
Remove the pan from the heat. Set aside. Puree the soup in a blender or food processor, then return it to the pan, stir in dry sherry. Reheat the soup before serving.
Step 4
Ladle into soup bowls. Serve with toasted croutons. Enjoy!
