Air fryer bacon-wrapped meatballs. Easy to make and delicious, these bacon-wrapped meatballs are the perfect appetizer or snack. They’re a healthier alternative to fried meatballs but still taste just as good.
The Health Benefits of Air Frying
Air frying is a healthy way to cook food. It uses less oil and other unhealthy ingredients. The result is a crispy, crunchy, and delicious food that can be cooked quickly.
Air frying has been around since the early 1900s but it wasn’t until recently that the health benefits of air frying became more popular. Air fryers are becoming more mainstream because they are easier to use than deep-frying.
Air frying is a great alternative for those who want to eat healthier foods but don’t have time to prepare them in the traditional way.
What’s the Best Type of Meat for an Air Fryer?
Air fryers are a popular way to cook healthy meals without using too much oil or calories. They have been used for years to prepare food items that would normally be deep-fried. This includes chicken wings, fish, vegetables, and more.
The best type of meat for an air fryer is lean meats like chicken breasts and turkey breasts because they don’t need as much cooking time as other meats like beef or pork do. The healthier option is also lean meat like turkey breast because it has less fat than other cuts of beef or pork.

How to Make the Perfect Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Meatballs
Making perfect meatballs is a hassle for most people. You need to fry them, bake them, and then fry them again to make sure that they are cooked properly. This process can be time-consuming and tedious.
But with air frying, you can cook bacon in the oven at the same time as cooking your meatballs. The bacon will take on the flavor of whatever you are cooking it with, so all you need to do is add some salt and pepper before placing it on top of your meatballs before baking.
This method will save you time and effort in the kitchen because you don’t have to worry about adding extra oil or grease when frying your bacon in the oven for your meatballs.
Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) lean ground beef
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cracked pepper
- 1 teas[poon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 1 pound (480 g) bacon, halved
- 1/2 medium yellow onion, peeled and chopped
Method
Step 1
Cut a piece of parchment paper and make it fit inside your air fryer basket. Using a skewer, poke holes in the parchment to allow airflow.
Step 2

Step 3
Using a small scoop, roll the beef mixture into 24 meatballs. Wrap half slice of the bacon around each meatball, then secure it with a toothpick. Transfer bacon-wrapped meatballs to the parchment-lined air fryer basket (you may need to work in batches).
Step 4
Fry at 370 F (185 C0 for 15 minutes, or until bacon and meatballs are tender. Serve hot with barbecue sauce.
