Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- a few drops vanilla extract
- 1ΒΌ cups (310 ml) whipped cream
Method
Step 1
Whip the egg whites until stiff. Add the sugar gradually a teaspoon at a time,beating continuously.
Step 2
Fold in the cream of tartar and finally vanilla extract. Place a plain nozzle into a pastry bag.
Step 3
Pipe in a small circles onto greased wax pepper placed on greased baking sheets. Alternatively,place the meringue mixture in teaspoonfuls on the prepared sheets. Place on the bottom shelf on an oven set as low as possible to dry out for 2 hours. When baked meringues cool,join together with whipped cream.
