Best chicken stock recipe. Very delicious homemade chicken stock. There is no substitute for the wholesome of homemade stock. Chicken stock is economical and very easy to make.This recipe provides enough to serve four people and refrigerate the rest for a later meal.
If you freeze chicken stock,cool it first,then skim off any excess fat before freezing.
16 Ways to Flavor Chicken Stock:
Snow Peas and Mushrooms: Add broth ingredients to stock during cooking.
Corn Niblets,Sweet Red Pepper and Uncooked Rice: Cook these ingredients in stock for 15 minutes.

Ingredients
- 1 chicken carcass
- 1 cup (250 m|) leftover stuffing
- 8 cups (2 L) water
- 1 yellow onion,peeled and halved
- 1 carrot,peeled and sliced
- 4 celery stalks,with leaves,chunked
- 2 garlic cloves,unpeeld and crushed
- 1 small turnip,peeled
- 5 fresh parsley sprigs
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
Method
Step 1
In a large pot,combine all ingredients. Mix well. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 2
reduce heat to low and simmer for 2 hours. Skim off froth during cooking.
Step 3
Pour chicken stock through the sieve. Degrease when cooled.
