Best grilled New York strip steak’s recipe. Really very easy and delicious beef steak cooked on the gas grill. Well done steak is ready in 10-12 minutes. This recipe includes a ketchup marinade.
Ketchup Marinade Recipe
Ingredients: 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1/2 cup (125 ml) ketchup, 1/4 cup (60 ml) hot chili sauce, 1/2 teaspoon horseradish, 1/4 cup (60 ml) red wine vinegar, 3 tablespoons clear honey, 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives, few drops of Tabasco sauce, few drops of soy sauce, freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions: In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Use for beef and chicken.

Oven Baked New York Steaks in Green Peppercorn Sauce Recipe
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients: 1½ tablespoons vegetable oil, 4 New York Steaks, 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick, 1 tablespoon green peppercorns, 2 tablespoons heavy (double) cream, 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, 3/4 pound (360 g) sliced mushrooms, 2 shallots, chopped, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, 1/4 cup (60 ml) cognac, 1 cup (250 ml) heavy cream, salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 150º F (75º C). Cook steaks in two batches, using the following procedure. Heat half of vegetable oil in a large nonstick frying pan. Add meat and cook for 3-4 minutes over high heat.
Turn meat over, season well with salt and black pepper, and continue cooking for a further 3-4 minutes. Remove cooked steaks from the pan and keep hot in the oven.
Place peppercorns in a small bowl and 2 tablespoons heavy cream. Stir well together and set aside. Add butter to pan and heat over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, shallots, and parsley. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes. Pour in the cognac and cook for a further 3 minutes.
Incorporate remaining cream and peppercorn mixture. Mix well and cook for 5 more minutes.

Ingredients
- new York steaks, 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick
- 1 recipe ketchup marinade (see recipe above)
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Step 1
Preheat the barbecue to high. Brush beef steaks generously with ketchup marinade. Place on the hot barbecue grill.
Step 2
Turn steaks 2-3 times during cooking and season well. Serve with mashed potatoes and other vegetables.
