Caramelized onion and steak quesadilla. Tortilla with Havarti cheese, caramelized onion, and beef steak. Very delicious!
- half of boneless beef steak,sliced
- Havarti cheese
- fresh thyme
- 1 large yellow onion,peeled and sliced
- barbecue sauce
- melted butter
- 1 tortilla,halved
- pasta sauce
In a large nonstick skillet,heat butter. Add sliced onions and saute until they are translucent. Add sliced beef and pinch of freshly chopped thyme. Cook,stirring occasionally,for 1 minute.
Add barbecue sauce and stir well to coat. Continue to cook until beef steak is tender.
Remove cooked beef and onion from the skillet. Spread vegetable cream cheese on one half of tortilla. Spread pasta sauce on another half.
Add Havarti cheese ,then cooked beef and caramelized onion,then more Havarti cheese. Cook tortilla in melted butter until golden brown. Serve hot!
