Ingredients
- 3 egg whites
- pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- unsweetened cocoa powder
Method
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl,combine egg whites and salt. Beat,using mixer,until soft peaks form.
Step 2
Beat in vanilla extract,then gradually beat in granulated sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoons(15 ml) onto lined with parchment paper baking sheet,leaving 2 inches(5 cm) between cookies.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 350Β°F(150Β°C).
Step 4
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn off oven and let cookies stand for 1 hour.
Step 5
Transfer baked chocolate meringue drops to a wire rack and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
