Crockpot chocolate cheese pie recipe. Very easy and delicious dessert cooked in the crockpot. This is a real chocolate lover’s dream! Use a 6-quart crock pot to bake this pie.
To make a 7-inch Chocolate Cookie Crumb Crust, you need to use the following ingredients:
1¼ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1-2 tablespoons clear honey
Instructions:
In a 7-inch (17.5 cm) springform pan, combine homemade cookie crumbs, sugar, and unsalted butter.
Add enough honey mixture to stick together. Pat honey mixture evenly on the bottom and 1 inch (2.5 cm) up the side of the pan.
Variation:
Black Forest Cheesecake-Make recipe as shown below, increasing chocolate to 2 oz (60 g) and substituting 2 tablespoons brandy for vanilla.
Spoon cherry pie filling over the slices.
Crock Pot Chocolate Cheese Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) low-fat cream cheese,at room temperature
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 oz (30 g) bittersweet chocolate, melted
- 1/4 cup Dutch process cocoa
- Chocolate Cookie Crumb Crust (see recipe above)
- 2 cups (500 ml) whipped cream
- Chocolate curls,as a garnish
Method
Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Stir in sugar, beaten eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix in melted chocolate and cocoa. Pour chocolate filling into the crust in a springform pan.
Step 2
Place pan on rack in 6-quart (6 L) crockpot. Cover, placing 3 layers of paper towels under the lid. Cook on high heat setting for 2½-3 hours, or until just set in the center.
Step 3
Turn off the crockpot and let stand, covered, for 1 hour. Remove the chocolate cheese pie from the crock pot. Cool on the wire rack.
Step 4
Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours. Spread whipped cream over cheese pie. Garnish with chocolate curls, if desired.
