Crock Pot Honey-Garlic Shredded Beef
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) beef stock
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) clear honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 3 pounds (1.44 kg) boneless beef roast, halved
Method
Step 1
In a 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker, combine beef stock, honey, brown sugar, soy and Worcestershire sauces, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth.
Step 2
Place beef halves, side-by-side in the cooker. Turn to coat with mixture on both sides.
Step 3
Cover the pot and cook on low-heat setting for 8 hours or until beef is tender.
Step 4
Turn off the crock pot and open the lid. Using tongs, remove cooked meat from the cooker and transfer to a large bowl. Using two forks, shred the meat, then return it to the slow cooker. Toss well to coat with cooking liquid.
Step 5
Serve over the cooked rice.
