Grilled Lamb Chops with Lemon and Basil
Ingredients
- 4 lamb shoulder chops, cut 3/4-inch thick
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil ,finely chopped
- freshly squeezed lemon juice
- grated zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Method
Step 1
Put lamb chops in a cooking dish. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour mixture over lamb chops. Cover with a plastic wrap and marinate, turning 1-2 times,2-3 hours at room temperature.
Step 2
Light a grill. Arrange lamb chops on an oiled grill set 4-6-inches (10-15 cm) from coals. Cook, turning occasionally and brushing with reserved marinade, until well browned, about 10-12 minutes. Serve grilled lamb chops with cooked rice and vegetables.
