Fried Chicken Legs Recipe

Chicken legs fried in the oven. Simple and tasty!

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients: 4 chicken legs, skinned, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup (60 ml) 10% cream, 3 large eggs, beaten, 2 cups breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons peanut oil, Tabasco sauce, salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C). Season chicken drumsticks with salt and black pepper, then dredge in all-purpose flour. In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream and beaten eggs. Mix well. Sprinkle with Tabasco sauce. Dip seasoned chicken legs in egg mixture and coat with breadcrumbs.

Preheat peanut oil in a saute pan. Add chicken legs and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. The place cooked chicken legs in preheated oven and continue to cook for further 10-12 minutes.

Turn off the oven. Remove fried chicken legs and transfer to a serving platter. Serve with a barbecue sauce.

Oven Baked Chicken Drumsticks Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (960 g) skin-on chicken drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) water
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

Step 1

Rub chicken drumsticks with salt and black pepper. Transfer to plastic container. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Pour water into the bottom of turbo oven. Place grilling rack.

Step 3

Remove marinated chicken drumsticks from the refrigerator. Arrange on grilling rack.

Step 4

Set oven temperature to 430 F (220 C). Bake for 25 minutes or until chicken drumsticks are golden brown. Serve hot with fresh vegetables.
