Oven baked pears with grenadine syrup. Delicious dessert baked in an oven.
Ingredients
- 3 firm fresh pears, peeled, cored, and cut into halves lengthwise
- 1 cup (250 ml) grenadine syrup
- freshly squeezed juice of 1/2 lemon
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 325Β Β°F (163Β Β°C). Place pear halves in a baking pan, cut side down.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, combine the grenadine with lemon juice. Mix well and pour over the pears.
Step 3
Bake the pears for 45-50 minutes, or until tender when tested with a toothpick. Baste pears frequently with the syrup.
Step 4
Chill oven baked pears with grenadine syrup in refrigerator. Serve cold with baking syrup.
