Oven baked salmon wrapped in smoked bacon. Marinated salmon wrapped in smoked bacon and baked in halogen (turbo) oven.Very delicious because salmon stays really moist from the bacon! Oven Baked Salmon Wrapped in Bacon
makes 4 servings
Ingredients: 4 skin-on salmon fillets (about 4 oz), 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried dill weed, salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste, 1/2 pound (240 g) smoked bacon, halved
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375º F (190º C). Lightly grease the baking pan with olive oil. Arrange salmon fillets skin-side down onto the greased sheet. Sprinkle with garlic powder, dill, salt, and black pepper. Top with bacon halves.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until salmon fillets are tender, then turn the oven to broil and continue cooking for a further 1-2 minutes or until bacon has crisped.
Turn off the oven and remove baked salmon from it. Transfer to serving plates. Serve with your favorite vegetables or you can even roast them in the oven. Enjoy!

Oven Baked Salmon Wrapped in Bacon
Ingredients
- 1 pound (480 g) salmon fillet, skinless and cut into 1-inch(2.5 cm) chunks
- 10 strips of bacon
- 1 onion, peeled and quartered
- bamboo skewers,soaked in water for 30 minutes
- For Marinade:
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Method
Step 1
To marinate: Combine all ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Mix well and set aside. Put salmon chunks in a plastic container. Add marinade mixture and mix. Cover and marinate for 2-3 hours.
Step 2
Thread marinated salmon on to bamboo skewers alternated with onion. Wrap salmon chunks with a stripped bacon. Put skewers on an ovenproof baking dish and set aside for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Preheat turbo oven to 400°F(205°C). Arrange ovenproof baking dish on high grill rack of turbo oven. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, turning over once after 5 minutes. At the last 5 cooking minutes, turn turbo oven off and grill skewers until browned. Serve oven baked salmon hot.
