Slow cooker brown sugar banana bread. Banana bread cooked in slow cooker. Very easy dessert.Brown sugar gives this delicious bread a caramel flavor. Apple sauce add moistness.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) applesauce
  • 2 large eggs,beaten
  • 2 tablespoons 2% reduced-fat milk
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Method

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl,combine butter,applesauce,eggs,milk and brown sugar. Beat well.

Add mashed bananas and

Stir in combined flour,baking powder,baking soda and salt. Stir in chopped walnuts.

Step 4

Pour batter into greased loaf pan. Place pan on rack in slow cooker.

Step 5

Cover slow cooker and cook on high heat setting until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (for 2-3 hours).

Step 6

Turn off slow cooker. Cool brown sugar banana bread on wire rack 5 minutes. Remove bread from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
