Ingredients
- 16 chicken drumsticks
- 1 bottle (16 oz (480 ml) Buffalo wing hot sauce
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup (250 ml) sour cream
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) crumbled blue cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Method
Step 1
Place chicken drumsticks in a 4-5-quart (4-5 L) slow cooker.
Step 2
In a medium mixing bowl, combine hot sauce, tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and pour over chicken.
Step 3
Cover slow cooker and cook on low heat setting for 6-8 hours, or until chicken drumsticks are cooked through.
Step 4
In a small mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, blue cheese, and cayenne pepper. Stir well and refrigerate until ready to use.
Step 5
Turn the slow cooker off and open the lid. Using a slotted spoon, remove cooked chicken from the slow cooker. Slim fat from cooking liquid. Serve chicken with some cooking liquid and blue cheese mixture.
