What is fondue and how does it work?
Fondue is a dish of melted cheese, bread, and wine or beer. It is often served with a selection of bread and meats that are dipped into the mixture.
Fondue is made by heating up a pot of oil or butter on the stove at moderate heat. The mixture is then blended with white wine or beer until it becomes thick and creamy. This mixture is then added to a pot containing grated cheese, bread cubes, and sometimes chopped vegetables like mushrooms or carrots. The mix can be cooked over low heat for about 10 minutes until the cheese has melted enough to create a sauce-like consistency.
