Slow Cooker Picnic Chicken Stew Recipe
Very easy and delicious chicken stew with canned garbanzo beans, tomatoes, and spices. Surprise your guests!!!
Makes 8 servings
Ingredients: 10 oz (300 g) boneless and skinless chicken breast, cut into cubes, 2 cans (15 oz (450 ml)) garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained, 14Β½ oz (435 ml) can diced tomatoes, undrained, 1 large yellow onion, peeled and chopped, 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped, 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced, 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 ml) chili powder, 3/4 teaspoon (4 ml) dried thyme leaves, salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions: In a 4-6 quart (4-6 L) slow cooker, combine all ingredients, except salt and black pepper. Stir well. Cover the cooker and cook on a low-heat setting for 6-8 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.
Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Season chicken stew with salt and black pepper and stir well. Ladle into soup bowls. Serve hot.

Slow Cooker Cubed Chicken Breasts Recipe
Ingredients
- 22 oz (360 g) frozen bag Tyson Grilled & Ready Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast, undrained
- 12 oz (260 ml) jar hot chili sauce
- 2 cups (500 ml) cooked rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets
Method
Step 1
Place frozen chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
Step 2
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Mix well and pour mixture over chicken. Toss well to coat the meat completely.
Step 3
Cover the cooker and cook on a high-heat setting for 2-3 hours.
Step 4
Turn off the slow cooker and open the lid. Stir the chicken mixture well. Serve over the cooked rice.
