Slow Cooker Ham Carbonara Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced bacon
  • 1 pound (480 g) cubed ham
  • 1 yellow onion, peeled and diced
  • 2 teaspoons crushed garlic
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1¼ cups (310 ml) chicken stock
  • 1¼ cups (310 ml) heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 pound (240 g) cooked pasta

Method

Step 1

Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add diced bacon and cook until crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Step 2

In a 6-quart (6 L) slow cooker, combine the ham, onion, mushrooms, crumbled bacon, garlic, and chicken stock. Mix slightly.

Step 3

Cover the pot and cook on a low-heat setting for 6 hours.

Step 4
